The County Championship
Durham
managed a narrow victory at Sudbury against Eastern Counties to secure their place in the County Championship, Bill Beaumont Cup, Division 2 North for next season.

Following narrow last gasp defeats against North Midlands and Warwickshire, the win was seen as just reward for some excellent efforts over the course of the County campaign. The side facing Eastern Counties featured a number of new faces to County rugby and it is hoped the experience will help to build an even stronger side for the future.
